Arepa & Co started as a market stall in Camden Market when Gus & Kathe decided to serve the food they were missing from their home country, Venezuela. People very quickly fell in love with Arepas (gluten-free cornbread that is stuffed with different fillings) and due to their popularity, they decided to open their first permanent site in Haggerston along the Regents Canal and ever since, their food has been conquering the hearts of Londoners. We now have the pleasure to have Arepa & Co serving their delicious food at the kitchen in Oslo Hackney.
Arepa & Co offers up a traditional Venezuelan menu featuring Arepas (round and flat cornbreads filled with combinations of meats and veg), Cachapas (sweetcorn pancakes topped with different savoury fillings) and traditional rice bowls (filled with black beans, cheese, fried plantain and your choice or meat or veg). They also have a fantastic ‘Tapas Style’ menu of small plates that are great to share and are also a great way to try the richness of Venezuelan cuisine. Teuqeños with guava sauce and the Yuca Chips with garlic mayo are not to be missed! The menu offers something for everyone, with a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options as well as most of the menu being gluten-free. And when it comes to weekends, the Brunch is definitely not to be missed!
